How does not getting any affection or love from your parents affect you?
Posted by: miz helena / Category: love,Let’s say that a girl grows up without getting any affection or love from her father and he is always putting her down and never says anything nice to her and she feels rejected by him. The mom only rarely says "I love you" but that’s it. How would that affect a girl?
Everyone is different, like they say. I don’t like getting into these things, but since no one knows me here I might as well speak from personal experience. My father was barely there and never showed much affection when he was, and my mother was emotionally abusive for the most part. So personally, I’m pretty ‘I don’t care’ / aloof these days but when I was a little younger I would get attached to people very quickly and was desperate for approval, I still sometimes experience social anxiety and hurt people who show an interest in me for no reason other than to just hurt them. Since this person is a girl she might also develop ‘daddy issues’ such as being attracted to much older men, and if her mother is not a good mother she is likely to become either a radical feminist or radical mysogynist, no in between.
I’ve read the whole twilight series and fell head over heels in LOVE with them 
so I’ve been done with them for a while now, and I want to find another book or series that involves romance. Edward and Bella type romance, lol. Something addicting. What books would you recommend?

Love of God is in fact the basis for the love of humans. The absence of this love is the reason of failure in any relationship. This is the love of God that acts as a glue to join a religious community.
How it acts as a glue? Through selfless love, selfless sacrifice, selfless help (charity)…
That’s why a true religious community prospers in a faster way than a non-religious community.
If there is disintegration in a community then it is only because of the true love of God being replaced by materialistic ideals.
There is a very wrong notion in religious communities about love. We also need to clear that. God has created love and sex and there is a relation between the two. "Sex is not bad". It is just like God has created water and He has created fire. None of them is bad but the way we treat it is good or bad. Fire can both cook and burn, Same with sex. I said that because someone wrote something bad in one of the answers. That’s an example of something good used for a bad purpose.

Loving someone is very very different from being in love with someone. When you love someone, you truly care about them and their well being and want to see them. You can definately love a friend
When your in love with someone, they fill your mind all the time, and when you think about him smile comes to you and you want to spend all of your time with him, even if its just watching a movie or doing homework together. It is rare to fall in love, and when it is genuine it doesnt run out after the new-relationship feeling wears off. (i have been dating my boyfriend for two years and i am still madly in love with him)
To tell if he is in love with you, watch how he holds you, how much he kisses you, how often he tells you he loves you, how he orients around you and how at ease he is with you. Sometimes even how protective he is with you.
