Can you help me with dating advice?

I just got out of a long-term relationship and have been single for a few months. I have started dating a girl at my work. I am in my 20’s and wanted any advice on things to do in the beginning of a relationship or dating tips. This girl is a party girl, but I do not want to go out and drink all of the time. Thanks for the help.

I suggest you ask her out for a coffee for starters.

Talk about yourself and your interests.

I guess you realized that are better things to do than

abusing oneself with alcohol.

What do you think of this dating advice?

You should always wait for a guy to contact you first (in the early stages of dating obviously.) If he's interested he will make sure to contact you. If he's not, he won't, and you will keep your dignity by not contacting him and being blown off.

It seems to make sense, but maybe guys need a bit of encouragement too and a girl contacting a guy first isn't a big deal? I'm confused! What do you all think?

i contacted my guy first and it was the best thing that i have ever done in my life. We've been together for over 2 years now.
and besides, my dignity is not just about being blown off by a guy. Dignity is a big word, much bigger than "he likes me he likes me not"

go for it, if he says he deosn't like you then give yourself a 10 minutes pity party then move on, life has got so much more to offer.

What is the difference between the love in marriage and love in a friendship? Christian answersare appreciated?

i'm 17 years old and learning how to truly love somebody. to me, the only way to love somebody is to serve them, protecting, being patient, giving etc. in a friendship, this is very easily attainable. however in a romantic relationship, emotions get entangled and it is so hard to focus on the true reason why we were created– to do God's work. but how can one "court" or be married without having those emotions and attractions. what is marriage? how do christians know that that someone is the one God intended for them to be with?

Love is a decision you make in your mind. It is not a warm fuzzy emotion your heart produces - your heart pumps blood.

Marriage is a lifelong commitment to love (although, over half of them end in divorce). Friendship lacks this commitment.

The intensity of desire/satisfaction towards the two and the commitment are the difference.

And use articles like 'what men are really thinking' for information about men?

I have it on good authority, Vi, that most journalists who write for magazines like 'Cosmo' and 'Vogue' and 'The Women's Institute Monthly Newsletter' are nothing more than boozy, drug-crazed, rampant old hairy-arsed lezzers who couldn't pull a bloke if he was on feckin' casters. Fortunately, however, the astrology pages within said mags are 100% reliable and I follow THEIR advice to the letter.
