I am 29 yrs. old and dating a man who is 54. We are very much in love and enjoy each other a lot. We are thinking of moving in together soon and I am excited! The only thing that is bothering me is that my family and friends don't like the idea of him being so much older. I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me?

I dated a wonderful man 21 yrs older. I was 24 and he was 45 at the time. I adored him. And yes, I got weird looks when we went out and more than a few times was asked if he was my father. I didn't get too upset…it's a reasonable assumption.
As far as my family….they're shallow. The guy had money so they didn't say much.
After a year or so we went our separate ways because we just ended up not being compatible for the long haul. We are, however, still very good friends. I'm lucky to know him.

What is the difference between loving someone and being in love with someone?

being In Love, is loving in a romantic way…
loving someone, could mean you love them like a brother or sister or a friend ect.

I have a man that I think my feelings may have grown too fast and too strong for. I love him. Truly, I do. I just don't want either of our feelings to get hurt by some type of feeling that we thought was love and it was just an infatuation with one another. But I do love him. I just can't tell if it is me being in love or not.

When you love someone, it's much like the love you might feel for family or friends. You care deeply about them, who they are as a person…but it's platonic. When you are "in love" that is the romantic love that includes a desire for intimacy and romance.
