Can someone give me middle school dating advice?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: dating advice

Im in middle school and I guess Im not that pretty but I really like a guy and I think he may like me back but i cant tell…… So how do I tell if he likes me back? Also how do i get him to really notice me and maybe ask me out…… (im in 8th grade if that matters)

Dont do it. I dont want to be mean at all. :) so i swear im just giving you good advice. If you are not really that pretty, dating in eighth grade is not an option. Every guy is really shallow, nice but shallow. He may have been nice to you but dont confuse that as liking you. You may see him flirt with other girls . Its different.Being Nice and Being flirty are different. You gotta recognize it.

How do you determine the sex of a parakeet?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: sex,

I have two parakeets. They are always kissing and playing and chirping at one another. I used to know that you could tell the sex by the color around their nostrils but I can't remember what color is which sex. If anyone can help me I'd greatly appreciate it.
Oh and I'd greatly appreciate it if people would only answer if they know the question. I don't find jokes and other things off subject as funny. Thanks.

At about the age of 6 months, a parakeet reaches maturity. The male is a bright blue on the seer, the area immediately above the beak. The female at the same age has a seer the color of pinkish/light purple. When females are ready to mate the seer is brown and is not flaky. The seer being flaky is a type of mites. The majority of pet shops sell birds around the age of 8-12 weeks.

Is sex truly important in a relationship between a man and a woman if there is great companionship?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: sex,

If you're older- (50) -and just have no interest in sex–and haven't in a long time, but enjoy the companionship and sense of family in your relationship-is that unusual? We haven't had sex in 5 years because neither of us is really interested. There are no affairs going on - we're both overweight and just seem removed from the physical side of love. How many of you are in a relationship where there is little to no sex, but the friendship, family and companionship is strong?

The importance of sex is completely based on the partners' individual interests in sex. I don't know whether or not your situation is considered unusual, but if you two are happy together without sex and enjoy your lives, then no, sex is not important for you.

Companionship is great in my relationship. We also both have high sex drives, fetishes, and love to do all kinds of kinky stuff together. Sex is important because we both enjoy it so much, and we have sex every day. We are a younger couple and neither of us are overweight.

What is love and is domestic violence a way of showing love for your partner?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: love,

This is a general question as I am curious as to how fathers can beat up the mother for years, purport to love the children and think that this is normal behaviour. The police see family matters as something entirely different to violence between strangers. Surely, violence is violence and those who beat up another person should be sent to prison.

.Domestic violence isnt about love, but about power and bullying over another person.
The person who does the beating has low self esteem and feels the need to suppress the other person who they fear will ultimately leave them in the end.

The police DO NOT treat domestic violence differently. In fact, it is took very seriously. The tide is changing. In the UK, the police actually have a duty to make a 72hr turn around on domestic violence crime reports. The problem the police face is that often the victim will withdraw the complaint, refuse to go to court and go back to their abusive partner.

I love to write plays. I want to know what theatre companies look for, for new fresh talent?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: love,

I love writing plays similar to the works of Tennessee Williams, dramatic tragedies that are very theatrical, in that classic type of style. I want to know however, what theatre companies are looking for nowadays? I do what most playwrights do, I only write for myself and what I love. But, I'm anxious to get a few more of my plays produced and wanted to know what they look for. Also contact me if you have contacts in regional theatre for possible plays for considerations. Thank you.

Many theatres will put on a new play IF the theatre itself is doing well. Putting out new material doens't often pull in an audience. If your name means nothing to theatre goers then you need to go to them with a complete marketing plan as well. Talk to everyone. See how you can build buzz about your show. Ask the theatre owner if they like your work and if they have connections to any name talent who may be interested in performing it. What about a good director? You need to work out all the details, not to mention copyrighting your material… If youre lucky other theatres will want to produce it and you will eventually need to set up licensing.

good luck,
Marianne

What some good books that has romance and sex in it?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: romance,

I like to read books like that. I also like classic novels like Pride & Prejudice, Vanity Fair, etc. Oh and I also like novels like Stardust as well. I preferably would like the romance and sex though.

I like Sherilyn Kenyon.

I write historical romance with interracial characters. Where and how can I better promote my work?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: romance,

My niche is historical romance involving interracial characters, mostly, African-American/Blacks and a person of another race. Hey, how do you think my people got to be all colors? My latest release charts the romance between a free African American woman and an Oneida Indian man during the American Revolution in New York state. I like exploring where Blacks were during key events in history. Where and how can I promote this sub-genre? My publishers had faith in me and took on the story. Now I want others to enjoy it too, not just sit on a shelf.

Your stories sound intriguing and original! Here are a few ideas:

Join RWA (Romance Writers of America) if you haven't already. Utilize some of their resources - conferences, local chapters, newsletters, their monthly magazine, the RWR (which you can buy ad space in.)

Can you afford an ad in Romantic Times? Have your books been submitted to Romantic Times reviewers? There are reviewers who there who specifically read multi-cultural/African-American romances.

Have you submitted copies of your books to other reviewers? There are tons online. Realms of Love (I believe is a Yahoo group) and Joyfully Reviewed (another Yahoo group.) Don't underestimate the power of the small online romance groups. They are a mighty bunch and word of mouth will help you immensely.

Do you have your own website? With email newsletter subscription/guest book options? What about a blog? Myspace? Write up a brief bio about you and your books and submit it to your local newspaper(s). Most love local author bits, if well-written and you've got a unique angle, so play it up.

Hope you've found something useful in my suggestions. Best of luck!

as a straight male should i give lesbians relationship advice?

Posted by: miz helena  /  Category: relationship advice,

( i am straight but i support gay and lesbian marriages . i do think that a lot of relationship dynamics are universal . However are there some that different do to gender roles )

as a straight male will i have insight into how lesbian relationships work ?

as a straight male can i understand the dynamics of a same gender relationship

as a straight male can i understand the challenges that lesbians face in relationships

as a straight male should i give advice on domestic violence to lesbians

as a straight male would i have a perspective to relate to why lesbians would resort to physical violence

as a straight male would i have any insight at all as to who started the conflict
My questions were to illustrate a point .
I can give advice to anyone that violence is bad .

i can tell a guy not to hit a woman

i can tell a woman to go to the police if a man hit her

Certain things will always be universal .

I can also understand that while some men are @ssholes and deserve to be thrown in jail , there are women who start physical altercations knowing full well that a man being a man will get a bumb rap on defending himself ( a man even in defence should not hit a woman if at all possible .a man needs to be in a situation where he percives serious injury will occur to him such as losing an eye or him being stabbed or his arm being broken before he should hit back. A bloody lip dosent qualify a man to hit a woman .)

i do think straight women and men have some understanding of the dynamics of a relationship that is heterosexual in nature that a lesbian will not .

just as there are somethings i wont know about in a lesbian relationship

If advice is asked for :)
